Thankful :) July 11th #FFF

Happy Wednesday!  I haven't been feeling well the past few days (allergies- ugh!) so I'm hoping that today is the day that I am back to normal :)  I'm home from a great bootcamp class this morning and ready to take on the day!

FAITH-
Today let's talk about what we're thankful for. Yes, I know it's not November, but bear with me!  We can be thankful year-round instead of only at the designated 'thankful' holiday!  I have so much to be thankful for- there are always tough times and tough circumstances but I choose to look at the positive!

1 Thessalonians 5:18

New International Version (NIV)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

So here are just a few of my reasons for being thankful:
I have a wonderful husband who is a very hard worker.  I have a beautiful daughter that is growing up WAY too fast :)  R, my stepson, has overcome a serious brain tumor this year.  With lots of prayers and amazing doctors, he is healing.  I have a great family!  I get to turn my passion for health & fitness into my job each day.  But above all, I'm thankful for God!  He makes all of this possible, and He is seeing us through all of the difficult times!

FAMILY-
I'm missing the kiddos this week!  It's way too quiet around here!!  My weekends are usually full of the kids fighting and cheerleading stuff :)  Only a few more weeks until E is home!  And I'm hoping that R will be here tomorrow!!

FITNESS-
It Starts with Food: Discover the Whole30 and Change Your Life in Unexpected Ways

If you are interested in learning about the Whole30 that I've mentioned in the past, I highly recommend reading this book!  If you have a Kindle, you can get it for $9.99, and it's worth it!  It explains everything that I have tried to explain about this way of nutrition (except they explain it MUCH better!)  I already knew a lot of the information, but there was a lot of new stuff that I was excited to read about.  There are SO MANY health conditions that can be helped (or cured!) by changing your diet.  I hate to use the word 'diet' because it's not a fad diet and there aren't any magic pills or drinks associated with this.  It's real food.  Clean eating.  Staying away from chemicals and all of the icky stuff that is used to preserve your frozen microwave meals.  Check it out- even if you don't want to follow the nutrition plan, it's a great information source about food in general.  Want to try a Whole30?  Ask me about it- I've done it in the past & might be able to answer some questions!

I had a great 5:30am bootcamp class today- this class has been doing such a great job!  I've upped the cardio in the past few weeks, and everyone is adjusting well!  We packed a mile run, strength, and sprints into this mornings workout!  WOOHOO!!  I came home and made scrambled eggs with avocado, and I'm now enjoying a cup of coffee :-)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!  I'm working on the rest of July's personal training schedule today- let me know if you want to be added to it!  And a new bootcamp session (4 week's) begins next Monday- get signed up now & make that positive change for your life!!!
