Happy October!

It's fall, it's October, and it's day #2 of our nutrition challenge!  Exciting things all around :)

FAITH:
I've learned over the years to LISTEN...  pray, pray, pray, and make sure that you're listening to God's response!  He always responds (not always with what you want to hear!) and sometimes it is in the most subtle ways!  Seek knowledge & His will... Lately I have felt that there is going to be lots of changes coming ahead...  I've just prayed that God will guide us through whatever lies ahead!  I'm kind of a pain- I'm impatient, stubborn, and I like to have things my way :)  lol...  In life, that's not a good way to be!  So I'm working on being a little more easy going!  It helps that I have a very laid-back and easy-going husband to keep me calm (I've always said he is the 'calm' to my 'crazy'!!)

Proverbs 2 talks about making insight your priority- "searching for it like a prospector panning for gold, like an adventurer on a treasure hunt..." now that is intense!  You can read it all HERE!

Here are the first few verses:
2 1-5 Good friend, take to heart what I’m telling you;
collect my counsels and guard them with your life.
Tune your ears to the world of Wisdom;
set your heart on a life of Understanding.
That’s right—if you make Insight your priority,
and won’t take no for an answer,
Searching for it like a prospector panning for gold,
like an adventurer on a treasure hunt,
Believe me, before you know it Fear-of-God will be yours;
you’ll have come upon the Knowledge of God.

6-8 And here’s why: God gives out Wisdom free,
is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding.
He’s a rich mine of Common Sense for those who live well,
a personal bodyguard to the candid and sincere.
He keeps his eye on all who live honestly,
and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones.
FAMILY:
We are all doing pretty well!  We ended up having Ryan over Saturday & Sunday, so we were able to enjoy LOTS of qt with the family!  Here are a few pics from my parents house over the weekend:
Elisabeth & Graysen!

Ryan & mom baking an apple crisp!

Dad teaching Elisabeth how to play the guitar!

More guitar lessons!

Fall is here!  The leaves are starting to change color & fall off the trees :)
Elisabeth & I spent some time shooting hoops over the weekend- here are a few 'action' shots that I took of her!  She is just now learning how to play- after years of me trying to get her to play, she finally has decided to learn a little bit about my favorite sport!

FITNESS:
Work is going well!  My clients are getting good results and I'm happy with their progress!  We started a 30-Day Nutrition Challenge yesterday- it's pretty similar to paleo, and I know that everyone will see results if they stick with it!  Last time that I did a challenge, I dropped 8 pounds & several inches in 30 days!  Depending on your fitness level, you may lose more or less, but the main thing is the changes that you will feel & see with your body!  Trust me, you will be excited on Halloween when you do your second set of measurements & pic's!
